Thank you so much for all the work you did with my German Shepherd Jasmine.  The benefit she gained from your massages, was very noticeable in the earlier stages of spinal arthritis and CDRM. The big plus was she thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Because Jasmine’s problems were degenerative it was inevitable she was going to loose the use of her hind legs but I am so pleased you could continue working on her until the end. When our 18 month old spaniel became lame we took him immediately to our vet. Laddie is very shy around other people and the vet was unable to give him a full examination. He was prescribed anti inflammatory medication and rest. Although Laddie responded well to the treatment the lameness was still evident at times. The next step with the vet would have meant X-rays and we hoped to avoid that. Louise was able to win Laddie’s trust very quickly and was able therefore to examine him.  Read full testimonial…

Louise from Hands 4 Hounds has treated my 3 agility dogs regularly for 2 years. The massage is great for keeping the dogs in top condition and addressing any small strains that may occur from their active lifestyle.

I adopted my Springer x GW Haired Pointer back in April this year (2013) he’s 4yrs old. We were going for nice long walks to begin with which he really enjoyed, then he became lame on his back right leg so a vet visit was needed. After an x-ray we discovered the poor boy had hip dysplasia so he was put on a course of carprieve injections, 1 a week for 4 weeks, then 1 a month. They seemed to work wonders and he was walking a lot better. Then my sister found Hands 4 Hounds, the vet agreed that it might be of benefit so I thought why not give it a go. Read full testimonial…

I first met Louise as a client at our practice. When she was studying her canine massage course, she worked closely with me on preparing her practicals. Even at that early stage, I could see that she puts her heart and soul into her chosen vocation. Since she qualified, I’ve referred several of my arthritic patients to her for remedial massage, with amazing results. Read full testimonial…

I took my 12 year old dog ‘Misty’ to Hands4Hounds after seeing her at a Dog Show. Misty is aged but not old however she is a GSD cross Lab and is getting very stiff on the back end especially her back left leg. The practitioner looked at her and said she would benefit. I checked with the Vet as requested and the treatment started both Misty and I was cautious. We did the recommended sessions and am now continuing monthly she is definitely benefiting, Read full testimonial…

Our Staffy Is 11yrs old and has trouble getting up on his back legs and walking, we were given the name of Hands 4 hounds by a family member, so to try to give Bully a better quality of life we thought we would give this a go, we are so glad we did, after 3 sessions Bully is walking so much better, we realize that at his age this is not a cure, but we now have Louise back once every 3 weeks to keep him supple and to give him a massage to help his joints. We have a 9 year old rescue spinger spaniel called Shadow who over Christmas was in so much pain that we had to call the emergency vets to come out to see him. They gave him a painkilling injection and we took him into the surgery the next day. The following week he had x rays which showed he had severe bilateral hip dysplasia. In fact the vet said it was the worst she had ever seen. The vet said he was not a candidate for surgery and even it may come to euthanasia We cried a lot over Christmas. Read full testimonial…
